Primera Software Brings Asynchronous Burning to Smaller Companies for the First Time

Primera Technology is launching a new version of its duplication software for fully automatic copying and printing of storage media. PTPublisher 1.2.3 can burn two optical discs containing completely different material at the same time.

For users, this means a significant increase in flexibility, because they can start the second burn operation whenever they choose—even while the first is still running. “The new software is particularly suitable for companies that need to create a large number of individual discs within short time intervals,” explains Primera Managing Director Andreas Hoffmann. According to the manufacturer, individuals and smaller companies can now duplicate data asynchronously for the first time. “Until now, this function was available only in very expensive devices suited more to large corporations and major medium-sized enterprises.”

Directly after burning, the unit’s robotic arm transfers the optical disc without manual intervention into the tray intended for printing. In earlier versions of PTPublisher, CDs and DVDs were initially placed in a queue after burning. The new solution therefore also delivers considerable time savings. Discs are completed within ten seconds for monochrome printing and around 30 seconds for color.

The new PTPublisher version is especially suitable for Disc Publisher Pro and Disc Publisher XRP, since these units have two burners and can therefore operate asynchronously. Registered users can download the PTPublisher upgrade free of charge at http://primera-europe.eu/de/treiber/software.html.
