Stefan Gerats will head sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from CipherLab’s new Central Europe office in Mönchengladbach. The Auto-ID expert and long-standing industry professional joins CipherLab from barcode and RFID-printer supplier Zebra Technologies. At Zebra, Gerats worked from 2001 as an Account Manager and from 2005 as Sales Manager Central Europe. Previously, the 51-year-old spent around eleven years at marking-system manufacturer Markem in Krefeld and two years as sales manager at label producer Talis.
“Mobile computing and mobile applications are the growth market in the Auto-ID sector, and demand for reliable quality products at a reasonable price is very high,” says Stefan Gerats. “CipherLab’s scanners and handheld computers meet precisely this demand with their convincing price-performance ratio. Our goal is to establish CipherLab as a leading provider in Central European markets; initially, that means building an effective business-development department and a strong sales and technology-partner network.”
