The Intempo iDAB can also connect directly to any iPod speaker system. The compact adapter is available now in silver and granite black from specialist retailers and the Intempo online shop at http://www.intempodigital.de for €99.99 recommended retail price.
“The iDAB is incredibly practical: simply plug and play to listen to digital radio on the move. The additional connection for iPod docks makes it a genuine all-round DAB radio product,” said Intempo Marketing Manager Katie Richards.
The iDAB measures just 4 × 4 × 1 cm and weighs five grams, making it as mobile as the iPod. It is easy to operate: connect it to the iPod and switch it on. Playback, search and scrolling controls are on the side. A small screen displays stations and song titles, and users can save ten favorite stations.
The iDAB also connects to iPod speaker systems. Headphones serve as the digital-radio antenna and should remain connected even when speakers are used.
Richards said Intempo continually seeks new ways to improve music listening. After combining DAB with iPod speakers in the RDI, the company developed iDAB as the only current product able to connect both to an iPod and to speaker docks.
