Originally launched in 1997 as Switch – TV Mercilessly Parodied, the format has been producing new seasons again since 2007, this time as Switch Reloaded. How much work, but also how much enjoyment, must be involved in making such a program? What calculated irreverence is required to turn Claus Kleber and Gundula Gause into the nation’s news-presenting romantic couple? And how is all of it produced?
The practical discussion will look behind the scenes of Switch Reloaded. Benedikt Nordmann, producer at Hurricane TV in Cologne, and Georg Kappenstein, the program’s head writer, will answer the most pressing questions about working methods and production.
Switch Reloaded received the German Comedy Award in 2007 and was nominated for the Adolf Grimme Award in 2008.
