Technical changes in the digital age are enormous and developing rapidly. In the film industry, new HD technology and digitization in particular have redefined postproduction workflows. Additional qualifications are required and new professions have emerged: the Digital Imaging Technician, postproduction supervisor and color grader.
The event will introduce these three professions, their responsibilities and professional requirements, and illustrate how their workflows and areas of work interact in postproduction. It will address the following questions: What tools and skills are required for work as a DIT, postproduction supervisor or color grader? What must be learned, what is taught, and what will everyday work and career opportunities look like in the future? The presentations will be followed by an open discussion for all interested participants with the speakers and human-resources representatives. Vacant internships and training positions at UFA will also be presented.
