According to the manufacturer, the new ergonomic models in LG’s 42-series of office monitors offer the optimal monitor for every need. Three different stand concepts provide particularly ergonomic and comfortable working conditions.
Individual stand concepts for maximum ergonomics: The L models in the standard 5:4 format offer a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and are available as 19-inch monitors. The W models in the impressive 16:10 widescreen format are available as 20- and 22-inch monitors. With a choice of three different stand concepts, all monitors in the 42 series offer multimedia and
office users maximum ergonomics: a tilting display (T), a dual-hinge stand (H), or a height-adjustable tilting stand with integrated pivot mode (P).
The 42PM multimedia models also feature almost invisibly integrated speakers with 2 x 1 W output. LG says the high level of ergonomics is officially confirmed by the TCO 03 seal of approval, clearing the way for relaxed screen work. Alongside ergonomics, elegant design is also a priority: the slim silver bezels make a discreet impression on the desk.
Deluxe monitors
The high WSXGA resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels on the widescreen monitors renders even the finest details. At the touch of a button, the widescreen displays can be switched from the standard 4:3 format to 16:10 widescreen without users having to access the system settings or onscreen menu. Their slim bezels also make the monitors ideal for multi-monitor applications. The
controls are conveniently located on the front of the display. A wide viewing angle of 170°, enabling screen presentations to larger groups such as in conference rooms, and a short response time (ISO) of just 5 ms complete the profile of the new 42-series monitors.
Precise text display and crystal-clear images
The ultra-high contrast ratio of 8000:1 with DFC (Digital Fine Contrast) renders the finest details. Users can therefore work even in bright environments, with contrast and brightness adjusted automatically. LG’s proprietary f-engine image-enhancement chip provides high-contrast, brilliant images without color distortion in real time. In addition, all monitors are equipped with an OSD lock to prevent unwanted manipulation of image parameters. The new office monitors are HD-ready because, alongside an analog 15-pin D-Sub VGA input, they also feature a DVI-D connection; the W models additionally support HDCP.
Certification seals
The monitors continue to meet the current testing standards under DIN ISO 13406-2, TÜV-GS and EPA Energy Star and are also certified for Windows Vista.
