Seagate: New OEM Manager

Seagate Technology appoints Sven Dunker as OEM Manager for Central Europe.

As part of the restructuring of its sales operations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) has filled the newly created position of OEM Manager for Central Europe: Sven Dunker assumed the role on May 1.

As OEM Manager for Central Europe, Sven Dunker is now responsible at the hard-drive market leader for all direct-account activities in sales, budget planning, business forecasting and controlling, as well as strategy implementation. Ralf Bermond, Senior Sales Representative, and Alexander Auer, Junior Sales Representative, report to him.

The realignment of the EMEA sales structure is intended to optimize regional business operations, sales coverage and support. At the same time, new business opportunities are to be developed alongside existing markets in retail, security, surveillance and consumer electronics.

Sven Dunker has extensive knowledge of the hard-drive OEM market and began his career at Seagate Technology in 2000. Since then, he has held various positions in OEM sales, including successfully managing important customers such as Medion and Fujitsu-Siemens. Within Seagate, Sven Dunker is also regarded as the initiator of the company’s extensive cooperation with Iomega.
