Stuttgart Computer Graphics Professor Offered Position at Clemson University in South Carolina

A major honour for Stuttgart Media University (HdM): Professor Dr. rer. nat. Bernhard Eberhardt, a computer graphics specialist at HdM in Stuttgart, has received an offer from Clemson University in South Carolina, USA. The appointment is associated with leading its Digital Production Arts programme. The Stuttgart computer graphics specialist owes this distinction to his reputation in computer animation and graphics.

Bernhard Eberhardt has been Professor of Computer Animation in HdM’s Audiovisual Media programme since 2000. Under his guidance, numerous studio productions—some of them multiple award winners—have been created, along with contributions for television and exhibitions. Several computer-animation films and productions he supervised in recent years have performed very successfully at international festivals. Alongside his academic achievements, they contributed to the offer from Clemson University in the United States. Clemson University’s master’s programme in Digital Production Arts covers content similar to HdM’s Audiovisual Media programme. Bernhard Eberhardt is in negotiations to lead it. He earned his doctorate in mathematics at the University of Tübingen and completed his habilitation in computer science in 2002.
