Plazamedia, a full-service provider for television and new media, is establishing a subsidiary in Switzerland. It is scheduled to begin operations in Zurich’s media hub on August 1, 2008. With Plazamedia Swiss, the company is continuing its internationalization strategy and adding another company to the Plazamedia Group, which consists of Creation Club, Plazamedia Austria and MUC Media.

Plazamedia Swiss will be managed by Robert Adams, who already heads Plazamedia Austria Ges.mbH and is responsible for outside broadcasting at the parent company, Plazamedia GmbH.

“By establishing the subsidiary, we will further expand our new-customer business in this market,” explains Florian Nowosad, chairman of Plazamedia’s management board. “Another important reason for this step is the opportunity to provide even better support to our existing customers in Switzerland, such as Infront, HBS, UEFA and tpc.”

Through its subsidiaries, the group offers a broad portfolio of services from a single source, ranging from outside broadcasting and the eCenter digital service platform to creative services and new media. Its new-media activities range from the straightforward digitization of audio and video signals to near-live production for mobile-communications customers. The creative part of this portfolio is handled by subsidiary Creation Club, which will now also offer customers design and format development, on-air promotion and commercial-film concepts in Switzerland.
