In the original version, the residents of Planet 51 are voiced by stars including Gary Oldman (“Harry Potter 3-5,” “The Dark Knight”), Jessica Biel (“I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry,” “Blade: Trinity”), John Cleese (“The Pink Panther 2,” “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”) and Seann William Scott (“American Pie”).
Synopsis:
Forty years ago, on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong took one small step for a man, but one giant leap for mankind: he became the first man to walk on the Moon!
But what if that Moon had not been uninhabited? What if—just like on Planet 51—little green men lived there in peaceful harmony and regarded Neil Armstrong as nothing other than a terrifying alien? This highly amusing question will be answered in cinemas from December 3!
American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker thinks he is the first human to set foot on Planet 51. To his surprise, he discovers that the planet is inhabited by little green men who live a happy life of barbecue parties and white picket fences, reminiscent of cheerful, innocent 1950s America. Their only fear is that alien invaders will attack them—invaders like Chuck! With the help of his robot companion “Rover” and his new friend Lem, Chuck must make his way through Planet 51’s dazzling and confusing landscape to escape the fate of becoming an exhibit in the “Space Museum of Alien Invaders” on Planet 51.
