The SAE ALUMNI CONVENTION takes place in Berlin from October 15 to 16. Organized by SAE Institute, the world’s largest educational institution in the multimedia field, the event offers graduates and students, industry partners and experts the opportunity to exchange experiences and network. Numerous seminars, workshops and panel discussions by prominent media-industry representatives and SAE instructors are also offered to all participants. A specially established job exchange also enables graduates to speak personally with potential employers on site.
Every Year
The SAE ALUMNI CONVENTION is being held for the fourth consecutive time at Germany’s largest SAE location in Berlin. Around 60 exhibitors, such as Apple, Sennheiser and Avid, and more than 2,500 participants are expected across an area of 5,000 square meters. This year’s focus is on film and the web, so there will be particularly many specialist presentations and exhibitors from this field.
Another highlight is the CONVENTION Party planned for the evening of October 15 at Fritz Club. In addition to the official presentation of the 2009 SAE ALUMNI Awards, the SAE Junior Awards for outstanding student projects will be presented for the first time. The winners can look forward to prizes totaling 25,000 euros.
Good Career Prospects in the Media Industry
The idea of networking and contact with former students plays a prominent role at SAE Institute. For this reason, the SAE ALUMNI Association was founded. It is a globally organized platform for graduates, media-industry companies and partners to maintain a continuous exchange and create a network for professional development.
A current survey of SAE Institute alumni confirms how promising the opportunities are for entering the professional world after multimedia training. Almost 50% of respondents found a job within the first three months of obtaining their SAE diploma.
To provide a picture of current training options, professions and current career prospects in the media industry, an Open Media Day will be held on October 16 as part of the SAE ALUMNI CONVENTION. This is an information event on the subject “Creative Professions with Prospects,” aimed primarily at school pupils, students, young people and newcomers to the media industry. At the end of the event, SAE Institute will raffle an SAE diploma course among everyone present.
