Fusion 6.1 now aims to make full use of modern graphics cards. They possess a high number of processing cores that can be used for rendering – like a render farm. The key term here is the so-called CUDA interfaces. At eyeon Software, access to them is called “OpenCL GPU Supercomputing.” According to eyeon, this should allow layers and other active elements, for example, to be integrated in real time.

RenderMan support, film-grain settings and Python scripting were also newly added to the animation package’s range of functions. To be equipped for the latest 3D trend, Fusion 6.1 can now also process data from stereo cameras and RED cameras.
