The Re-Cut Film Competition is intended to take place annually from now on, giving talented newcomers the chance to shine. Competition director David Greenspan says: “I would like to advise all emerging creatives taking part in the Re-Cut Film Competition to free themselves from all restrictions and simply experiment. They do not necessarily have to stick to the script, but can try out a wide range of editing techniques, sound effects and music tracks.”

Anyone now eager to remake the Kevin James comedy can register by October 1, 2010 at http://slamdance.com//news/permalink/2010/5/27/202736.html and submit the redesigned scenes by October 29, 2010.
