The four-semester training course to become a specialist in digital film design gives students sound knowledge in the fields of classical fine arts (drawing, modelling) and computer visualisation (3D modelling, texturing, animation) – specifically tailored to the most modern requirements of digital film and TV productions. Theoretical and practical know-how is taught from classic 2D animated film through to 3D visualisation. Fundamentals of camera work, editing and film language are also conveyed.
If you are interested in training at the Games Academy, there is a special opportunity this year: together with the Games Academy, Digital Production is awarding a partial scholarship for “Film Art & Animation” at the start of the winter semester on October 6. Anyone who is at least 18 years old, has a secondary-school qualification and is interested in the course can apply. Female applicants in particular are also encouraged.
Simply send a design for a comic figure / character or a video / webcam portrait of yourself with a creative, funny, interesting or convincing explanation of why you in particular would like to win the scholarship. Closing date for submissions: September 20, 2010.
