Anyone who wants to design a creature or an animal usually needs a lot of hair or fur. With the FiberMesh to Splines application for ZBrush and Maya, this laborious work in Maya is now intended to be made easier.
FiberMesh in ZBrush is polygon hair and therefore useless for many artists and their models. But the possibility of now converting it into splines for Maya is intended to offer many new perspectives for the workflow.
The FiberMesh to Splines application can be used, for example, when you want to render hair created in ZBrush with Maya. The hair-design possibilities of the FiberMesh function are thus intended to be combinable with Maya’s render function.
FiberMesh to Splines is available for 20 dollars and runs on Windows 32 and 64 bit. The generated .ma files can be opened from the Maya 7 release onward.
We have already reported here on the new ZBrush update 4R2b.
