The Swabian as such has little time, because "Work, work, build a little house", and he also likes to save money – with the stereotypes thus satisfied – for this reason, an app for a virtual tour has now been created for Stuttgart.
As DIGITAL PRODUCTION takes a look at neighbouring Ludwigsburg and the film academy there in its upcoming "Career" special issue, a prospective student can use this app to take a closer look at the larger neighbouring city. The special thing is that users are said to be able to select the time in which they want to view the respective city scene. "Zeitfenster" is said to direct the view towards times gone by – when Stuttgart’s town hall had not yet been destroyed by an aerial bomb, or what the lives of Stuttgart residents in the Schlossgarten looked like in the 1970s.
The app was developed by master’s students Sven Straubinger, Diana Bullmann, Nils Fröhlich, Benjamin Schaufler and Patrick Burkert from Stuttgart Media University. The project is supported by the Landesmedienzentrum Baden-Württemberg and the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg. The virtual resie possibility "Zeitfenster" is currently still being developed, but is expected to be available soon for download in the App Store.
