The story continues 24 years later, and the protagonist remains the supersoldier named Prophet. The main setting is the metropolis of New York, where a gigantic nanodome was built by the Cell organization. Prophet wants to prevent secret technologies inside the nanodome from falling into Cell’s hands.

According to Crytek, despite the familiar location, there are few urban environments. The game will take place largely in the nanodome, which is divided into seven completely different areas. These will include swamps and jungle regions, among others.

To make hunting aliens and Cell easier, a new high-tech bow and the familiar NanoSuit are available, although the latter is in an improved version.

Preorder customers can look forward to the Hunter version. Multiplayer mode will begin at Level 5, and three dog tags and a bow skin will also be provided. In single-player mode, the Hunter version provides benefits through additionally increased NanoSuit attributes and earlier access to the bow.
