“Legend of Tarzan” Breakdown

Rodeo FX delivered 200 VFX shots for “The Legend of Tarzan” – including many full-CG animals, which the Canadian studio had produced on that scale for the first time on a project.

Despite a concentrated star cast with Alexander Skarsgård, Margot Robbie and Christoph Waltz, the latest live-action adaptation of the Tarzan story was only able to take 100 million worldwide (with a production budget of 180 million).

For Rodeo FX, by contrast, things are going brilliantly: For their work on the fifth season of “Game of Thrones”, the team was nominated for an animago AWARD in the “Best Visual Effects” category. Current projects include “Arrival”, the new film by director Denis Villeneuve, the Harry Potter spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and the fifth part of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.
