experimenta Heilbronn is a renowned educational institution (science centre) known beyond the borders of southern Germany. With more than 170,000 visitors annually, experimenta teaches science and technology interactively and participatively to people of every age group. In the course of further growth through a spectacular extension, we are looking to strengthen our team with:
IT Systems Administrator (m/f) Web & Media
Tasks
- Administration of the render farm for full-dome content production
- IT connection of presentation hardware and other AV components in the Science Dome and media-technology areas
- Maintenance of platforms for content management, digital signage and learn management systems
- Administration of media hardware and software in the marketing area
- Planning and realization of the technical WEB infrastructure
- Configuration of mobile devices
- Participation in developing and supporting apps and portals for visitors and employees
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist with several years of professional experience or a comparable degree
- Administrative experience in heterogeneous working environments in Apple and Microsoft settings; Linux knowledge is advantageous
- In-depth hardware knowledge of display systems, projectors and other AV hardware
- Basic knowledge in backend infrastructure, especially in the SAN field
- Good knowledge in web servers (Apache, MS IIS), content-management systems, MS Share Point, mobile-device management (Mobile Iron, Jamf), digital signage
- Solid practical experience with Adobe CC applications and MS Office products
- Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Unity and HTML 5 is advantageous
- Excellent German and good English skills
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility and an independent working style
