At NAB 2001, ECHOlab introduced two new ECHOlab 5000 and two new ECHOlab 2000 digital video mixers. All mixers now have backlit displays and reconfigurable inputs. The names of the sources appear in separate displays, making it easy to configure the mixer individually for each user. At the same time, the layout of the mixer panel has been redesigned to make it even more user-friendly. All mixer panels now allow direct access to the new, factory-installed internal DVE.
The ECHOlab 2000 models include a mixer mainframe and a new mixer panel. The ECHOlab 5000 models also have a Windows NT 4 Producer Workstation and a Commander Control Panel.
All ECHOlab digital video mixers are based on modular I/O, so that any combination of digital and analogue inputs and outputs can be ordered. The following I/O modules are currently available: SDI, DV, FBAS, Y/C and component. All systems are factory-equipped with 5 D1 input modules and 3 output modules of your choice, as well as a reference input (genlock or colourbars). The new ECHOlab 2000 and 5000 models also include a DVE and a chromakeyer ex works.
