Media 100 Inc. presented the new version 7.5 of its complete digital media creation system for the Macintosh platform at the NAB in Las Vegas. Version 7.5 offers for the first time the new possibility of “lossless” video quality, which is a significant technological improvement. The new Lossless Codec allows users to maintain the original picture quality with extremely high data efficiency throughout the entire digital media workflow, from data capture, editing, effects integration to distribution via various broadcast media including the Internet. Lossless codec technology incorporates sophisticated algorithms developed by Media 100 to deliver the same high image quality as uncompressed digital video, without compromising on storage capacity or the time it takes to render video and effects.

Media 100 i enables content creators to edit digital media content, integrate effects from a range of applications such as Adobe After Effects or the integrated Boris FX, and output the finished files via various broadcast and online channels. The “Lossless” codec is integrated into the Media 100 i XR system as standard, and is available as an option for Media 100 i LX and XS at a price of EUR 5,000.00 (plus VAT). All Media 100 i systems can render with the new version 7.5 for lossless codec.

At a price of 7,500.00 Euro (plus VAT), Media 100 i/lx offers the powerful features of i/leDV plus professional analogue connection and 2:1 compression for users with Betacam equipment.
Media 100 i 7.5 /xs
Media 100 i 7.5 /xs, the bestseller in the Media 100i series, now not only includes hardware from RealTimeFX in version 7.5, but is also more than 5,000 euros cheaper than the previous version at a price of 12,300.00 euros (plus VAT).
