MAYA
MAYA is a very powerful and extremely affordable recording card for the home studio. Unlike many conventional sound cards, MAYA has been specially developed for demanding audio applications on a PC. So
the card has high-quality drivers (ASIO 2.0, DirectSound, MME) that guarantee use with all current applications. These drivers enable extremely low latency times (6 ms at 44.1 kHz via ASIO), so that you can play software synthesisers in real time without any problems. With the new E-WDM driver (for Windows 2000, Windows 98 SE and Windows ME) even 3 ms at 44.1 kHz can be achieved. Thanks to the 20-bit DA and 18-bit AD converters and the connections in RCA format, the audio quality is above average for a card in this price range. In short: noise is not an issue. A special feature is the integrated high-quality microphone amplifier with switchable phantom power. A digital S/P DIF output (TOSLINK)
is also on board.
