Pinnacle Systems released Pinnacle Expression 2.0, the successor to Pinnacle Express, as an entry-level tool for putting home videos and digital photographs onto CD or DVD.
The streamlined software could import footage and images, apply basic edits, create menus and burn the finished project. Version 2.0 added MPEG file import.
Users could also build slideshows from JPG, TIF or BMP images, add background music and transitions, and set the duration of each image. The software cost about €49.
