Canopus presented DV Raptor RT2 and its optional Power Tools at CeBIT 2003. The board combined the Canopus DV codec with real-time DV capture, editing, analogue output and DVD authoring. Canopus said additional CPU performance unlocked more real-time functions.
Power Tools extended Adobe Premiere with six video filters, eight 3D real-time transitions and 15 Xplode transitions. White- and black-balance filters added colour-correction controls. DV Raptor RT2 and Power Tools were due in March 2003 for €499 and €99.
The ADVC-500 converted analogue video to DV and DV back to analogue for broadcast, post-production and presentation work. Its 19-inch chassis provided component, composite, S-Video, balanced and unbalanced audio I/O. It worked with Windows or Mac, could run standalone with stored settings, and cost €1,739.
