Yorkshire Police adopted the Viper video-identification system after a one-year pilot. Viper replaced in-person line-ups with recorded video presentations through editing systems including Liquid Silver.

In tests, the organisation said capacity rose from 50 physical line-ups per week to 125 video-based sessions per day. The approach reduced travel, accelerated investigations, supported mobile use and lowered the burden on witnesses. These savings were provider claims, not an independent audit.

Yorkshire already operated 34 Liquid Silver systems for Viper and other police applications. The UK police had invested about £7.6 million and planned deployment to 34 further forces. Liquid’s product lineage is now represented by Pinnacle.
