Native Instruments announced TRAKTOR DUO, a two-deck version of TRAKTOR PRO with automatic synchronisation, beat-aligned loops, filters and effects. Automatically generated beat grids and Sync Lock kept tracks aligned, while Crate Flick displayed cover art for faster browsing.
TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO combined the software with the AUDIO 4 DJ interface and 2 kHz timecode control for turntables and CD decks. The package targeted DJs who wanted a two-deck digital vinyl system at a lower price.
Two effects sections supplied six effects including flanger, delay and reverb. Extensive MIDI control and mappings for common controllers were included. Owners could upgrade to TRAKTOR PRO for four decks, more than 20 effects, internet broadcasting, audio recording and expanded sync and MIDI functions.
A demonstration video featured DJs Craze and Klever. TRAKTOR DUO and TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO were announced for 1 April at recommended prices of €99 and €349 respectively.
