This allows DSL and network data to be modulated directly onto the power grid and a Powerline LAN to be set up. The user saves the cost of the adapter with which routers previously had to be connected to a Powerline network. With data rates of up to 8 Mbit/s downstream and 640 kbit/s upstream, the integrated modem is also suitable for the latest DSL offerings. The easyhome MR850power manages up to 253 PCs in a network. Setup and administration are performed independently of the operating system via a browser application. This allows not only Windows computers but also Mac and Linux computers to be networked.
