Studio Funk opened a film mixing stage in Hamburg for finalising cinema, television and DVD productions in Dolby SR, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS and DTS-ES formats.

Mixing and projection systems

The 110 m² room used a 25 m² screen, a 128-channel DFC console and a 32-channel AudioFile SC system. A high-speed 35 mm projector provided digital and analogue optical-sound playback. Video presentation used DLP projection and a large plasma display.

The facility extended Studio Funk’s dubbing and audio-postproduction services through final delivery for feature films. The company also processed cinema advertising and stated that its work covered about 60 percent of spots shown on German cinema screens at the time.

Current format support and room certification should be verified before production use.
