Crater Software has released CTP Pro 1.8 for Windows 98 SE, NT, 2000 and XP. The resolution-independent 2D-animation package retains its existing interface while adding production functions.
Playback speed can be varied from one to 100 frames per second. Scanner resolution can be increased by up to 32 times, and cells can now use any combination of letters and numbers in their names.
Two new fill modes provide Cartesian and radial gradients. Textured fills allow drawings to be filled with arbitrary textures, and the release adds a Tool Options dialogue.
CTP Pro supports traditional animation, web design, PAL and NTSC television production, HDTV and film at resolutions up to 8,000 by 8,000 pixels.
Version 1.8 costs approximately 1,750 euros including VAT and ships with a revised and expanded German manual.
