DVC has introduced the ClipRecorder HD-200 LE at 19,990 euros. The uncompressed HD disk recorder captures and stores 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 material at 8 or 10 bit.
The system supports established HD raster formats and Panasonic Varicam’s variable frame rate. Its 220 GB disk array stores 24 minutes of 24p 10-bit material.
Like the standard model, the LE uses an open dual-Xeon server platform. Available options include a network GUI for operation from network clients, Windows Media 9 proxy or MPEG-2 encoding, and an Advanced File System for direct DPX and Cineon recording.
Drastic MediaReactor II imports and exports files and sequences in nearly any format.
