Networked with different storage, graphics, newsroom and playout systems, the possible uses of Liquid blue, Liquid chrome and Liquid edition are shown in a wide variety of applications. As a highlight, Pinnacle promises the demonstration of Liquid editing systems in an HD environment. For Pinnacle’s future HD plans, the editing systems of the Liquid product family will in future play a central role in the areas of digital TV (DTV) and High Definition Video (HDV). In addition to the familiar multiformat capabilities of the Liquid software, details on MXF support and MPEG-2 Long GOP editing will be shown. The Liquid Project Server is presented as a new component, allowing project data to be stored centrally on the network. This facilitates access to project data from all editing systems on the network and allows a project to be edited simultaneously at several workstations. Pinnacle’s target group includes both large broadcast companies and small and medium-sized video studios – here Liquid scores points above all through the user interface that is uniform across all versions.
