In 2005, the animago AWARD features five categories, designed to encompass all aspects of Digital Content Creation. Two of these categories – Interactive and Games – have been added last, reflecting current market trends.
The Interactive category embraces all productions that allow users to control how information is presented. The individual platform or application used – be it DVD or Web, a plug-in or Director production – are at the artist’s discretion. Likewise, the Game Design category focusses on the graphical adaptation of a game idea regardless of the platform (PC, Mac, Videogame Console) used.
Deadline for all submissions is February 28, 2005. The artists behind the overall best productions in all categories will be honoured with the animago trophy in an awards show. It will be staged on April 29 amidst the fmx congress (April 27 – 30, Haus der Wirtschaft, Stuttgart, Germany).
