A spokeswoman for the festival operator explained this in response to an inquiry. The cancellation for 2005 was not a mere interruption of the previous annual cycle’, but an end. The festival would not take place next year either, PR manager Rikke Borup told DIGITAL PRODUCTION.

The end is apparently connected to economic problems. The operator’s website (www.3dfestival.com) contains no reference whatsoever to the event expected for 2005 – it still provides information about the previous year’s festival.
