Pictorion das werk Builds Fully Data-Based Postproduction

Pictorion das werk adds an Imagica Imager XE Advanced scanner and FilmLight Baselight

The company says it is the first German post house to offer a continuous data-based workflow for complete feature films at up to 4K across six locations. Compared with the Imager XE, the new Imager XE Advanced runs substantially faster and provides very stable registration. It scans one 4K frame every four seconds with 14-bit image processing, and supports scans up to 6K. Only seven Imager XE Advanced systems are in use worldwide, with one in Europe. FilmLight Baselight, a nonlinear film and video grading and finishing system, provides real-time workflows at resolution independence up to 4K. This enables flexible data-based grading of complete feature films. Truelight colour-calibration management maintains film-style colour fidelity on the monitor and was another important reason for Pictorion das werk to work with FilmLight.
