Sony is introducing a new range of DVCAM recorders comprising the DSR-2000AP/DSR-1800AP and DSR-1600AP. The new models, as well as the existing DSR-1500, DSR-1600, DSR-1800 and DSR-2000 units, can connect to HD equipment through a new optional converter board. The board converts DVCAM to HD-SDI, allowing existing DVCAM material to be used easily in HDTV workflows.
