Combining multiple moving graphics into one image in real time, for applications such as election coverage or sporting events, requires considerable computing power. High-quality HD signals increase those demands substantially.
Israeli company Orad, active in image processing since 1993, is therefore introducing HDVG (High Definition Digital Video Graphics), a new real-time graphics system supporting all HD formats as well as SD. It provides three video inserts in HD and up to eight layers in SD. HDVG runs on Linux and also serves as the hardware backbone for other Orad products including CyberGraphics, CyberSet and CyberSport. It is based on the DVG-10 platform, which has 700 installations worldwide.
