At IBC, US provider Anton/Bauer is presenting a flexible battery solution for JVC’s ProHD camcorder GY-HD100 that is intended to meet professional requirements and enable an operating time of around five hours.
It is based on the manufacturer’s Goldmount bracket, to which all batteries of the same name can be connected. With the Dionic 90 model, for example, the camera is intended to run for approximately five hours; according to the provider, the high-performance Hytron 120 version achieves the same time but additionally permits the use of light and Accessories (standard 12-volt equipment). Through the so-called Realtime interface, the JVC camcorder can display the remaining runtime in hours and minutes directly in the viewfinder.
The Goldmount bracket can also be used to connect additional devices to the camcorder, including JVC’s DR-HD100 hard drive and the Focus Enhancement FS-4 digital disk recorder. Anton/Bauer is exhibiting at IBC at stand 11.411.
