Adobe announces three new product bundles that combine the design and publishing capabilities of Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Adobe’s video solutions with the interactive possibilities of the recently introduced products Macromedia Flash Professional 8 and Macromedia Studio 8. Adobe took over the Macromedia products in the course of the acquisition of the company completed on December 3, 2005 (DP reportde).

The three new bundles expand the possibilities for users to produce digital content and experiences – for presentation on the web, as video, on mobile devices or in printed form. The “Adobe Design Bundle” combines Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium with Flash Professional 8. The “Adobe Web Bundle” includes Studio 8 in addition to Creative Suite 2 Premium, and the “Adobe Video Bundle” combines the Adobe video solutions with Flash Professional 8. The Design Bundle and the Web Bundle are available to order immediately from retailers and the Adobe Store; according to Adobe, the Video Bundle will be available in spring 2006.

The Adobe Design Bundle combines the design environment of Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium with Flash Professional 8, the recently introduced software for creating sophisticated interactive content. Adobe Creative Suite 2, released in April 2005, integrates leading design tools such as Photoshop CS2, InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2 and GoLive CS2 with the new Version Cue CS2. In addition, Adobe Creative Suite 2 also includes the new Adobe Stock Photos service for image providers as well as Adobe Bridge and Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional.

The Adobe Web Bundle unites Macromedia Studio 8 with the homogeneous design environment of Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium. Announced in August 2005, the Studio 8 software package combines the current versions of the award-winning products Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Flash Professional 8 and Fireworks 8 with Macromedia Contribute 3 and Macromedia FlashPaper 2.

Both bundles are available to order immediately worldwide from specialist retailers and in Adobe’s Onlie shop and are expected to be available later this month. Adobe Design Bundle and Adobe Web Bundle are offered in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. Details about the Adobe Video Bundle will be available at the beginning of 2006. At http://www.adobe.de/bundles, interested parties can register their interest in this package and will be informed as soon as it is available.

The German-language version of the Adobe Design Bundle costs 2,550 euros or 3,575 Swiss francs. The Adobe Web Bundle is available for 2,898 euros or 4,055 Swiss francs. An upgrade is possible from various products.
