NaturalMotion is now offering a “Student Edition” of Endorphin 2.5, its 3D animation solution based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS). The edition contains all the features of the regular version, but is intended exclusively for education and cannot be used commercially. Students and instructors can buy a single licence for $995 from NaturalMotion’s online store.
Around five months ago, the company released a free “Learning Edition,” substantially expanding Endorphin’s user base. The company says more than 17,000 users registered. That response, together with its desire to support emerging animators, led to the development of the “Student Edition,” which is now offered at a discount of almost 90 percent.
