MPEC is demonstrating in Hamburg what, according to the organizer, is the first production-ready unit of the Panasonic AG-HVX200 camcorder: the presentation takes place on January 12, 2006 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MPEC “showroom” (Hoheluftchausee 108, 20253 Hamburg). Systems specialists from MPEC and Panasonic will be on site. Interested parties can register through an online form (see link below).
The AG-HVX200 is a progressive native 16:9 HD 3CCD camera system with a high-precision Leica Dicomar wide-angle zoom lens. The new DVCPRO HD camcorder offers 1080i/720p HD recording with the proven image quality of DVCPRO HD compression (video bit rate: 100 MBit/s). The DVCPRO HD codec uses optimal intraframe compression, in which each frame is compressed separately. In addition, the AG-HVX200 is capable of recording in DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV formats in SD mode.
