As software manufacturer Adobe announced today, both BenQ-Siemens and LG Electronics mobile phones have licensed the Flash Lite format developed specifically for mobile phones and other small devices.
The aim is not only to present content in Flash format, but also to be able to program user-friendly user interfaces and web browsers straightforwardly in the Flash development environment.
LG Electronics intends to offer the first corresponding mobile phones as early as April 2006 and also promises MP3 players that support the Flash-Light format in the future. Benq-Siemens plans to launch Flash-Light-capable mobile phones in the fourth quarter of 2006.
