“Adobe Live!” industry get-together on 9 and 10 May 2006 in Cologne

Major event with numerous hardware and software partners showcases solutions for creative workflows / Extensive expert lecture programme

#Adobe is inviting creative professionals from the DCC sector, video experts, photographers, designers and prepress users to the second edition of the “Adobe Live!” event at the Palladium in Cologne on 9 and 10 May 2006 under the motto “Join the Revolution”. This major event – Adobe’s first after the Macromedia takeover – is intended to show visitors how they can optimise their work processes with Adobe products free of charge, in a concrete and vivid way. In addition to the software manufacturer itself, numerous partner companies will be represented at the event, including Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Epson, NEC, Sanyo, Sony, Wacom and Xerox. Adobe partners will be presenting their solutions for professional design, web and video workflows in the exhibition hall of the Palladium.

In addition to solutions relating to Adobe Creative Suite 2, Macromedia Studio 8 and the new Adobe Production Studio, the event also offers an extensive programme of presentations. Interested parties can take part in over 40 presentations by well-known experts on four stages, including typography expert Erik Spiekermann, Flash guru Carlo Blatz and Photoshop luminary Doc Baumann. In his presentation “News live, interactive and cross-media”, Christoph Dernbach, editor-in-chief of dpa-infocom, will describe how the leading German news agency Macromedia uses Flash for the Internet, mobile communications and print. Jim Guerard, Vice President Digital Video and Web at Adobe Systems, will give the keynote speech at the event.

Participation in “Adobe Live!” is free of charge and registration is possible on the German Adobe website (see address below).
