Telestream is active in the area of file-based distribution and specializes, among other things, in the automated conversion of a wide variety of file formats. The company supports a total of 50 file formats and works with around 100 partners (including Sony, Grass Valley, Ikegami). During NAB, Telestream was able to boast of being represented with its FlipFactory product at 27 booths. At NAB, the company presented a whole series of new products, including GraphicsFactory, FlipFactory Mobile, Factory Array and extensions for Flip4Mac.

GraphicsFactory is a system for automated graphics processing and management for TV stations. It makes it possible to automate the graphical packaging of the same content for different channels. FlipFactory automatically prepares the content for distribution on mobile channels, and FactoryArray distributes and monitors the conversion work across multiple FlipFactory servers.

In the consumer version, the Flip4Mac product enables users of Mac OS X to play files in WMV format. Since Apple discontinued its support for this format and Telestream offers Flip4Mac free of charge on the Microsoft site, it has now been downloaded more than 100.000 times.

The paid Pro version of Flip4Mac includes extensions for operating various products with Final Cut Studio. From NAB, support for Grass Valley Infinity and Grass Valley Server is available, joined by solutions for Sony XDCAM HD and Ikegami Editcam.
