As a media-management service provider, Ascent Media also wants to market its experience in digital production and the associated workflow on the continental European TV market in future.
Former Pinnacle manager Alain Polgar is responsible for business development in consulting at the British-American media group. From London, the group of companies markets its Network Services with the three business fields “Consulting”, “Contribution” and “Systems & Technology Services” alongside its Creative Services (postproduction).
As the “world’s largest system integrator”, Alain Polgar told DIGITAL PRODUCTION, Ascent Media has sufficient know-how and independence from the respective product developments and hardware and software offerings to support TV companies in the realignment of technology and management. This is not solely about installing new technology, but above all about the associated changes in workflow.
Important consulting fields are the conversion to tapeless production, multi-channel playout, media asset management, archiving and restoration, as well as the redistribution of existing and new productions to the various digital distribution channels such as DVB-H, DMB or IPTV.
