Digital Anarchy Resizer is a conversion tool that converts video material to higher (or also lower) resolutions. Among other things, it can scale SD material up to HD. Resizer contains a deinterlacer for interlaced SD.
The software is a plug-in that works under Mac OS X and Windows in the applications After Effects 5.0 and higher, Final Cut Pro 4.0 and higher, as well as Motion 2.0 and Premiere Pro 2.0.
The update to version 2.1 now available primarily improves cooperation with the Apple applications Final Cut Pro and Motion. Because Resizer 2.1 supports Apple’s “FxPlug” architecture, the plug-in runs considerably faster.
For owners of the previous version 2.0, the update is free. New, Resizer 2.1 costs 149 dollars; the update from version 1.0 comes in at 99 dollars. Until November 10, there is an introductory promotion with prices of 99 dollars for the full version or 79 dollars for the update, respectively.
