Since the end of October, “Die Niels Ruf Show” has been the first in-house format from the ProSiebenSat.1 Group to be produced in full-screen 16:9 format. The 45-minute programme is produced by ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion in anamorphic widescreen format and broadcast directly from Studio 1 at the Berlin Media Centre. “Die Niels Ruf Show” can be seen every Monday at 9 p.m. on the digital subscription channel Sat.1 Comedy.
“I am delighted that with ‘Die Niels Ruf Show’ we are producing the first format of the channel family in 16:9 widescreen format and that Sat.1 Comedy can celebrate a double premiere,” explains Frank Meißner, Director of Operations at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and spokesperson for the management of ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion: “After all, the late-night show is also the first in-house format of our new digital channel.”
Sat.1 Comedy is part of the pay-TV programme packages of Kabel Deutschland, Unity Media and Kabel Baden-Württemberg. Sat.1 Comedy is edited by ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary SevenSenses and shows feature films from Hollywood and Europe, sitcoms from the USA, British comedy and comedy formats from the ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s family of channels.
Since October 2005, Sat.1 HD and ProSieben HD have also been broadcasting many programme highlights such as blockbusters and premium series in high-definition HDTV standard and 16:9 format. The two HD channels can be received via the Astra satellite system and on the Kabel Baden-Württemberg network.
