The Hanover-based TVN Group is the new principal owner of the two media companies AZ Media TV and AZ Media Technology. As the company reports, it is taking over 90 percent of the shares, with 10 percent remaining with AZ Media GmbH (Andre Zalbertus). Behind the TVN Group are the publishing company Madsack (70 percent) and Studio Hamburg (30 percent). The transaction is still subject to approval and requires the consent of the Lower Saxony State Media Authority, the Commission on Concentration in the Media (KEK) and the Federal Cartel Office.

“With this acquisition, we underline our growth strategy in the TV sector and can offer our customers an even more attractive range of services”, Herbert Flecken, Chairman of the Madsack Management Board, comments on the takeover. AZ Media TV and AZ Media Technology are represented with extensive infrastructure at locations in Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg.
