Cologne design agency X-Tension has selected a Quantel eQ system for editing, effects, colour correction and deliverables. The multiresolution system expands services for communication and advertising clients while increasing production capacity. Founded in 1994 by Oliver Geiss and Holger Gericke, X-Tension produces broadcast design ranging from animated channel logos and opening sequences to channel brands and corporate identities.
Quantel said X-Tension tested almost every available system before selecting eQ. Geiss cited its intuitive interface, intended to keep artists focused on creative work rather than menu navigation, and its broad toolset. He said the company wanted complete creative control while offering broadcasters distinctive concepts.
