Just under a year and a half after the purchase of Macromedia, Adobe is fully integrating the new acquisitions into its product range, presenting updates for almost all its applications and showing several smaller new acquisitions.
For the design and web areas, there is a Standard and a Premium suite in each case. For the film and video area, by contrast, Adobe offers only a “Production Premium” suite. It contains the CS3 versions of After Effects Professional, Premiere Pro, Photoshop Extended, Flash Professional, Illustrator, Soundbooth and Encore. Production Premium also contains the Bridge CS3 tool, the new Device Central CS3 mobile-device emulator, Acrobat Connect for web conferences and Dynamic Link.

All these tools run both on Windows (XP and Vista) and Mac OS X (10.4.9 and 10.5). However, only the tools that were previously available for the Mac also support PowerPC-based Macs. Applications that are available for the Mac for the first time (again) require an Intel computer.
On-Location and Ultra CS3, both products that Adobe only recently acquired, run only on Windows, with Ultra not even included in the Mac package. On-Location supports the film team on set with direct-to-disk recording; Ultra is a keyer that also offers several features such as virtual sets.
The price for the full version of CS3 Production Premium is to be 2616.81 euros. The upgrade from an individual product will cost 1188.81 euros, and from a previous version of the suite 2081.31; in each case including value-added tax.
Adobe currently gives July 2007 as the availability date.
