The networking of different production, distribution and reception technologies offers a wide range of possibilities for the development and design of new media-based interaction offerings. As part of a two-day event by Eyes & Ears of Europe (EEOFE) and Discovery Channel (July 5 and 6, Munich), experts will use concrete examples from their own fields of activity to illuminate the facets of this complex topic.
Because affected are all areas of digitized audiovisual communication, whether news, information, education, entertainment or service. Many forms of media-based interaction have already been successfully implemented. The range now extends from video-on-demand offerings, multi-user games, community platforms and IPTV portals to mobile news services. Many further technical possibilities are waiting for forms that make sense in terms of content and economics.
The experts are therefore to address the following questions in particular: Which forms of media-based interaction design are currently being conceived and implemented? Which content is particularly requested by users? Which design challenges result from media-based interaction practice? Where are promotion & advertising in interaction-capable media contexts developing? How does media-based interaction change the understanding of brands? And not least: What are the most promising prospects in connection with media-based interaction design?
The number of participantts for the event is limited to 20 people. The registration deadline is June 29, 2007. The participation fee ranges between 75 euros (students, trainees with EEOFE membership) and 1,000 euros (non-members of EEOFE).
